Do codes expire?
Codes are the fastest free boost in Anvil Quest — five are working right now, and two of them (FORGE-2026 and EMBERBORN) expire on August 31. This page is re-tested daily and each code above carries its expiry and source; the full test history for this pass is August 31, 2026 on game version v2.5. Expired codes move to the bottom table instead of being deleted, so you can see what you missed and how long typical codes live.
How do I redeem codes in Anvil Quest?
Redeeming takes about twenty seconds once you know where the box hides:
- Press the gear icon (Settings) in the top-right corner of the screen — it is there from the tutorial forge onward, so you can redeem NEWPLAYER within your first minute of play.
- Open the Account tab and click Redeem Code.
- Paste the code exactly as written in the list above and press Confirm. Codes are case-sensitive and the dash in FORGE-2026 is a real hyphen, not an em dash — type it if paste mangles it.
- Rewards land in your inventory immediately. Gold and charms appear in the currency bar; XP buffs start their timer the moment you redeem, so don’t redeem EMBERBORN while you’re about to log off.
Redeem troubleshooting — if a code from the active list is rejected:
- “Invalid code”: it most likely expired since our last daily test pass. Tell us in the comments section of this page and we’ll re-test within the day.
- “Already redeemed”: reward codes are one-per-account. This includes NEWPLAYER, whose starter bundle is tied to account creation date, not level.
- Typo from hand-typing: copy-paste. The most common failure is a lowercase L read as a capital I in ASHENKEEP.
What do the rewards actually give you?
Not all code gold is equal — its value depends on where you are in the game:
| Code | Reward | Worth it? |
|---|---|---|
| FORGE-2026 | +500 Gold | Yes — half a weapon upgrade early game |
| EMBERBORN | 2× XP for 30 min | Yes — pop it right before a boss run |
| ASHENKEEP | Cosmetic set | Cosmetic only, no stat effect |
| NEWPLAYER | Starter bundle | Only works once per account |
| ANVIL-DAWN | Dawn Anvil charm | Yes — +10% gold drops for an hour, pop it before a farm session |
Three practical readings of that table:
- Early game (levels 1–10), FORGE-2026’s 500 gold covers five health potions plus the Copper Sword upgrade from the beginner guide route — the single biggest power spike available to a new account.
- Mid game (levels 20–30), EMBERBORN is worth more than its face value: 30 minutes of doubled XP is one full Stormcaller practice session, which is exactly the fight where you want attempts to count twice.
- Farm sessions, ANVIL-DAWN’s +10% gold charm stacks multiplicatively with the Greed enchant and turns a standard forging materials farm run from 900 gold into roughly 1,000 — small per run, large across a week.
Where do new codes come from?
The developer releases codes in three predictable patterns, which is why this page can promise daily coverage:
- Update milestones — every major patch (v2.4, v2.5…) ships a celebration code that lives about two weeks. FORGE-2026 came with the v2.5 forge update.
- Calendar events — the anniversary ANVIL-DAWN code runs a full month (September 15 expiry) and historically returns each year with a new reward tier.
- Creator partnerships — the rarest type: a code embedded in a sponsored stream. These usually have a 500-redemption cap, so they burn off in hours; when one drops, this page is the fastest place to catch it.
The official Discord #announcements channel is the source the developer uses first — everything there gets tested and added here within a day.
Why do codes stop working?
Codes expire on a schedule set by the developer (usually monthly or tied to update milestones), and some are one-per-account. Expiry is enforced server-side: when a code’s date passes, the redemption endpoint rejects it even if the UI still offers the input box.
If a code above fails, it likely expired since our last test — check back tomorrow. Expired codes stay listed on purpose: FROSTPIKE’s entry is how you can tell at a glance that this page actually prunes dead codes instead of farming a list from months ago. Re-release attempts are real: BETA-HERO briefly worked again during the June anniversary, which is why “expired” codes are worth a retry exactly once per patch.
What to spend code gold on
Gold from codes compounds fastest when it buys permanent power rather than consumables:
- First priority: the Frostpike recipe (300 gold from Mara’s anvil, or free if you didn’t skip the tutorial crafting). It’s an S-tier weapon per our weapon tier list and doubles your damage against every fire-weak boss.
- Second: armor crafting materials. The Emberforged armor set costs more in forging materials than in gold, but its crafting fees add up to ~800 gold — code gold covers it.
- Last: potions for boss attempts. One Greater Frost Potion (60 gold) turns the Emberfang enrage phase from a coinflip into a formality.
Coins from codes go furthest early: the beginner guide lists what to buy first, and the Emberfang guide is the first boss those upgrades unlock.
