Anvil Quest Weapon Tier List - Best Weapons Ranked

Complete Anvil Quest weapon tier list ranking every weapon from S to C. Updated for the current patch with DPS benchmarks, synergy notes, and craft requirements.

2026/8/6 v2.5 Forge Master Kael 最終更新: 2026/8/31 英語フォールバック 7 分で読める

This tier list ranks every weapon in Anvil Quest based on sustained DPS, burst potential, utility, and how well each weapon synergizes with the current meta. Rankings assume endgame builds with optimized stats. It was last re-verified against game version v2.5 on August 31, 2026 — every weapon below was benchmarked on the training dummies for this update, not carried forward from the last list.

Tier Explanations

  • S tier — Best-in-slot. Craft these as soon as you can.
  • A tier — Strong and viable for all content. Slight weaknesses keep them out of S.
  • B tier — Solid mid-tier weapons. Good while progressing, replaced by S/A eventually.
  • C tier — Starter or situational weapons. Fine early, do not invest heavily.

One rule before the tables: tier ≠ upgrade order. A Frostpike Staff (A tier) is the correct first craft for almost every Mage because its materials are cheap and its ice utility unlocks two bosses; the S-tier Stormcaller staff comes later. Craft by material availability, not by tier color.

S Tier

Voidforge Blade

The current meta weapon for Warriors. Unique passive: every 4th hit deals 300% damage. With the Crit build’s attack speed, the 4th hit procs constantly.

  • Class: Warrior
  • DPS: 145 (with full buffs)
  • Source: Craft (Voidking drop + 50 Inferno Gems)

Voidforge Blade weapon card — S tier greatsword, 145 sustained DPS

Upgrade path: the 50 Inferno Gems are the real cost — at a 30% drop rate from Stormcaller that’s roughly 17 post-clear farm kills, or one solid week of dailies. The Voidking drop is the one-time gate. Craft order within S tier: this first, because no other Warrior weapon competes with a 300% fourth hit on a 2x crit zone.

Stormcaller

The strongest Mage staff. Storm Bolt chains to 3 targets and applies a shock debuff that increases all damage by 15% for 8 seconds.

  • Class: Mage
  • DPS: 135
  • Source: Craft (Stormcaller pattern drop)

The shock debuff is the hidden reason this is S tier: the +15% is party-wide in duo play, which makes a Stormcaller Mage the best damage partner a Crit Warrior can ask for. The pattern drops from the boss of the same name at 8%.

A Tier

Emberclaw

The best early-to-mid game weapon for Warriors. Fire damage shreds ice bosses (early Act 1), but falls off in Act 3 where fire-resistant enemies appear.

  • Class: Warrior
  • DPS: 110
  • Source: Craft (Emberfang drop)

Craft it, love it, don’t sink enchantment stones into it past +3 — its useful life ends when the Voidforge materials are farmed.

Frostpike Staff

Mage’s ice-spec staff. Lower raw DPS than Stormcaller but the freeze utility trivializes several bosses. Recommended as your first crafted weapon.

  • Class: Mage
  • DPS: 90 (115 vs ice-weak)
  • Source: Craft (5 Glacial Gems)

Frostpike Staff weapon card — A tier ice staff, 90 DPS rising to 115 against ice-weak bosses

The freeze utility note deserves numbers: a frozen Emberfang can’t volley, which removes Phase 1 entirely for 8 seconds per freeze. Against the fire-weak boss roster this staff outputs 115 DPS on a 5-Glacial-Gem budget — the best materials-to-damage ratio in the game. Five gems, and where they drop, is in the forging materials guide.

Shadowfang Daggers

Rogue’s backstab build weapon. Highest burst in the game (220 DPS during backstab windows) but requires practiced positioning.

  • Class: Rogue
  • DPS: 110 average, 220 burst
  • Source: Quest reward (Thieves’ Guild questline)

The 220 number is real but conditional: it only exists behind the boss. Against Stormcaller, whose 180° Flame Whip cone punishes exactly that position, the safe average is what you actually get. A-tier, not S, because the weapon demands more skill than the game should require for its damage.

B Tier

Ironwood Bow

Solid ranged option for Rogues who prefer a safer playstyle. Lower ceiling than Shadowfang but much more forgiving.

  • Class: Rogue
  • DPS: 85
  • Source: Craft (Oakwood Vale patterns)

Mace of Dawn

Cleric’s best offensive weapon. Damage is mediocre but the +15% healing modifier makes it best-in-slot for support Clerics.

  • Class: Cleric
  • DPS: 60
  • Source: Craft (Sunforge patterns)

The healing modifier is the point: in a Warrior + Cleric duo, a Mace of Dawn Cleric adds more effective DPS through sustained healing than their own 60 DPS does. This is the only B-tier weapon that never leaves your bag.

Crimson Greatsword

A defensive Warrior weapon. Lower DPS than Emberclaw but the +40 fire resist makes Stormcaller progression much smoother.

  • Class: Warrior
  • DPS: 80
  • Source: Craft (Emberfall Crater patterns)

A progression tool, not a keeper: it exists to survive your first ten Stormcaller pulls while you learn the Flame Whip timing. Sell it once the Crit set covers the fight.

C Tier

Copper Sword

Your first crafted weapon. Free during the tutorial. Replace it at level 8.

  • Class: All
  • DPS: 35
  • Source: Tutorial quest

Rusty Iron Sword

The starter weapon. Do not upgrade or enchant this.

  • Class: All
  • DPS: 20
  • Source: Character creation

Apprentice Wand

Mage starter weapon. Replace with Frostpike Staff as soon as you have 5 Glacial Gems.

  • Class: Mage
  • DPS: 25
  • Source: Tutorial quest

The C tier exists to be replaced. The only mistake available here is spending forging materials on them — every Copper Sword enchantment is a Frostpike you delayed.

Elemental Coverage Cheat Sheet

Weapon tiers interact with the elemental system more than any other stat:

Boss elementBringAvoid
Fire (Emberfang, Stormcaller)Frostpike, any iceEmberclaw, fire imbues
Ice (Frostspire trash, Frostbound Monarch)Emberclaw, fire imbuesFrostpike, ice imbues
Neutral (dummies, most Act 2 trash)Highest tier you own

This is why the guide’s two A-tier crafts (Emberclaw and Frostpike) are both worth owning at once: together they cover every elemental matchup in Acts 1–2 for the price of one S-tier weapon.

How We Calculated These Rankings

DPS numbers come from a controlled test environment: level 50 dummy, optimized endgame stats, no buffs except class-native skills. Each number is a 3-minute sustained average, recorded this patch. Real-world DPS varies with fight mechanics — burst weapons rank higher than their sustained DPS suggests because Anvil Quest bosses have vulnerable windows where burst matters most.

We re-test every patch. If a weapon gets buffed or nerfed, expect this list to move within 48 hours of the patch notes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I craft Emberclaw or save for Voidforge?

Craft Emberclaw. The Voidforge farm assumes you’re already clearing Stormcaller comfortably, and Emberclaw is what gets you there. The materials overlap (Emberfang drops feed both chains) — nothing is wasted.

Why is my Frostpike doing more than listed?

115 vs 90: you were fighting something fire-weak. The dummy numbers are neutral-target. Check the elemental chart above before concluding the bench is wrong.

Do weapon enchantments change the tiers?

Not the tiers — a +5 Copper Sword is still a bad weapon. Enchantments multiply the base; the tier list already assumes optimized (not maxed) enchantments on S/A weapons.

TL;DR

  • Warrior: Voidforge Blade (S) > Emberclaw (A) > Crimson Greatsword (B)
  • Mage: Stormcaller (S) > Frostpike Staff (A)
  • Rogue: Shadowfang Daggers (A) > Ironwood Bow (B)
  • Cleric: Mace of Dawn (B)

Don’t waste crafting materials on C-tier weapons. Save them for your first S-tier craft.

Frostpike’s ice damage shines against Emberfang; see the beginner guide for when each tier becomes craftable, and the codes page for free material drops. Once two A-tier weapons cover your elements, the forging guide shows how to push them to +5 without going broke.
